It is a voluntary professional association that represents engineers, enhances their capabilities through technical and social programs, and was re-registered on 15 March 1992 under registration number M/J/76, with its official announcement published in the Official Gazette on July 1, 1972.

Membership
The association currently has 1,100 members, divided into the following categories:
Training Center
The Bahrain Society of Engineers established a Training Center to organize courses and workshops on many important topics in engineering, technical and administrative matters, and human resource development. It was officially licensed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain in 2003.
The center is equipped with the latest advanced devices necessary to facilitate learning and adaptation to modern technologies
- Offers accredited training programs recognized by major educational institutions worldwide.
- Provides courses in Bahrain and Gulf countries according to the latest training requirements.
