Types of Membership

1

Fellow Member

  • Age: 40+ years.
  • Recommended by 1 Fellow Member + 2 Active Members.
  • 3+ years as Active Member or fellowship from a recognized engineering body.
  • 5+ years of senior-level engineering/architecture experience.

Active Member

  • Age: 25+ years.
  • Recommended by 2 Fellow/Active Members.
  • Bachelor’s (or equivalent) in engineering/architecture from a recognized institution.

  • Holds “Engineer” title in issuing country.

  • Master’s/PhD applicants must also have a related bachelor’s degree.

  • Meets training requirements + 3+ years engineering experience (total 6+ years education/training/experience).

Graduate Member

  • Meets requirements of Active Member clauses 2–5.
  • Age: 21+ years.

Supporting Member

  • Age: 19+ years.

  • Academic qualification in engineering (≥2 years full-time or ≥3 years part-time) from a recognized institution.

  • Or bachelor’s equivalent in a recognized engineering specialization.

Student Member

  • Age: 18+ years.

  • Enrolled in an engineering course at a recognized university or institute.

Honorary Member

  • Granted by the Board to individuals with notable contributions to the Association or engineering sciences (practicing or not).

Required Documents

Bachelor’s degree & transcript.

Experience certificates.

4×6 cm white-background photo.

Smart card & passport copy.

University registration certificate (students only).

Engineering Professions Regulation Committee membership (if applicable)

Institute membership certificate.(if applicable)

Job confirmation letter (non-Bahrainis) (if applicable)
