Who We Are

The Bahrain Society of Engineers (BSE) is a professional organization dedicated to promoting engineering excellence and supporting the development of the engineering community in Bahrain.

Our Foundation

Founded and officially incorporated on 1st July 1972 by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, BSE continues to uphold its mission of advancing the engineering profession through collaboration, education, and innovation.

BSE Training Centre

Offer courses which addresses the needs and training requirements as outlined in consultation with government and other major business concerns.

BSE Training Centre

Course instructors and lecturers from the region and other part of the world who are experts in their subject bring their expertise to the professionals keeping in mind the regional demands and perspectives.

Courses and training programs are provided at a nominal charge to enable cost –effectiveness thereby reducing training expenses in all organizations and individuals who require focused training at reasonable rates.

Offering financial aid to members for training and development purposes within the Society’s financial constraints.

Organizing public relations and information –related activities by publishing the Al-Mohandis Journal and issuing press releases 

BSE Affiliations

BSE Committees

Technical Committee :

To provide relevant information and consultation to members on any matters of a technical nature in the field of engineering and other management issues. Organizing various types of Technical Seminars/Lectures/Technical Visits for the Engineer members and other professionals.

Conferences Committee

Planning new conferences and exhibitions in various engineering fields in coordination with international institutions and associations. Forming sub-committees to handle responsibilities of scheduled conferences for smooth functioning and taking appropriate actions accordingly.

Technology and Training Committee

To identify training requirements in the field of Information Technology and organize them at the IT Training Centre at BSE. The committee is also directly responsible for conducting training, courses, and seminars in various engineering subjects.

Membership Affairs Committee

To evaluate and accept membership of new engineers and oversee matters related to existing members. The committee also reviews requests for sponsorship to attend conferences, seminars, and courses, and handles applications for student scholarships

Social Activities Committee

Plan and organize social events for members and their families, including the prominent “Engineer’s Gathering” on Tuesdays for interaction and networking. The committee also organizes package tours, sports activities, annual dinners, and other social programs for members.

Information Committee

Handling newsletters, event publicity, and publication of articles for the Al Mohandis magazine distributed to engineers. The committee manages publicity and media coverage of all activities and oversees quarterly publication of the BSE periodical “AL MOHANDIS.”
